The Good Dog

McKinley, an Alaskan malamute, who lives with Jack, is also the leader of the dogs in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. His leadership is challenged not just by another dog, but also by a wolf that comes to town to recruit dogs for her pack.
Most pet owners I know often wonder what their pets think. For that matter I suppose some pets wonder what their masters think as well. Do they ever fully understand each other? The Good Dog is a story told from the dog's point of view. Yet at the same time I wanted to make McKinley's understanding of the human world realistic. The result is an adventure that has McKinley caught between three worlds: his own, the human world, and the world of wolves. How can he decide which is his world when he is connected to all three? It all becomes an exciting adventure, the more so since McKinley's best pal, the boy Jack, gets caught up in the excitement too.
