Who Stole The Wizard Of Oz?

For many years I worked as a librarian so I'm very comfortable in libraries. The truth is, I love to be in them. That will explain the setting for this book. But I believe I had my first idea for this book when looking at an atlas. It was not an atlas of real lands, but imaginary ones. Looking at it I began to think of all the children's books which had maps in them, and how I enjoyed those maps. With all that information you can almost guess how the rest of the book came to be. (By the way the main character's names, Becky and Toby, come from two of my favorite children's books, Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, and Toby Tyler, or, Ten Weeks at the Circus.)
